Ubuntu (Linaro-11.12) on ARM is virtualized on a baremetal hypervisor for the first time. In the screenshot, a full blown Ubuntu instance is running on Codezero Embedded Hypervisor, Versatile Express Cortex-A9 platform.

==== 17/01/2011 Codezero Embedded Hypervisor Pandaboard Toolkit Released ====
Codezero Embedded Hypervisor Toolkit v0.4.1 has been released for TI OMAP4 dual-core Cortex-A9 Pandaboard platform. Please take a look at the [[Download|download]] page for the project installer and tarball packages.

Available in this release is a prebuilt hypervisor toolkit for userspace application development. The software brings up dual cores and enables a real-time multitasking environment. The toolkit is meant for running on the real hardware and a QEMU emulation package is not included.

==== 23/12/2010 Codezero Embedded Hypervisor Toolkit v0.4 Released ====
Codezero Embedded Hypervisor Toolkit v0.4 has been released.

Available in this release is a prebuilt hypervisor toolkit for userspace application development. The release contains a prebuilt hypervisor project for creating userspace applications, Versatile Express/quad core Cortex-A9 QEMU emulation environment, and Insight/GDB debugger and full documentation for software development.

Note, this release contains an installer for easier installation of tools

The purpose of the toolkit releases are to provide a simple and smooth application development experience on top of Codezero Embedded Hypervisor.

There is work in progress in extending platform support for Codezero. The following is a list of platforms that are targeted for the next release:

There is also work in progress for increasing support for Linux virtualization variants:

  * Android
  * Ubuntu netbook edition
